Privacy Policy

Last updated 11 August 2026.

This policy explains how Williamson Scaffolding Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects and uses your personal information when you use this website or contact us, and it explains your rights. We are the data controller responsible for your information.

Who we are

Williamson Scaffolding Ltd provides scaffolding and temporary roof systems for domestic and commercial projects across London and Surrey.

You can contact us about this policy or about your personal information here:

The information we collect

When you fill in an enquiry form on this website we collect the details you choose to give us. The form asks for your name, phone number, email address, postcode, the service you are interested in and a message about the job. Your name, phone number and message are required in order to send the form. Email address, postcode and service are optional.

We also record which page the enquiry was sent from, the date and time it was sent, and whether you ticked the consent box. To help block spam, the website stores a one way scrambled version of your internet address, which cannot be turned back into the original address.

We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 16.

How we use your information, and our lawful basis

We use what you send us to reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote, to arrange and carry out any work you ask us to do, to keep a record of enquiries so we can follow them up and manage our business, and to protect the website against spam and misuse.

Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running our business, and, where you are asking us to quote or carry out work, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. Where we rely on consent, for example for non essential cookies, you are free to withdraw that consent at any time.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for anyone else to market to you. To run the website and follow up enquiries we use a small number of trusted providers who process information on our behalf: our website host, so enquiries can be stored, our email provider, so enquiries reach us, and our customer management system, so we can manage your enquiry and contact you about it. These providers only process your information to provide their service to us and are required to keep it secure. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry records for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and for our ordinary business records afterwards, and no longer than is necessary.

Cookies

A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device. This website sets no analytics or marketing cookie until you have chosen to allow that category. Full detail, including the name and lifetime of every cookie, is in our Cookie Policy.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete, to ask us to delete your information or to restrict or object to how we use it, to ask us to transfer your information where that right applies, and to withdraw consent at any time where we rely on it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details above. We will respond within one month.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner Office, the UK regulator for data protection, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always the one published on this page.
